Fair Oaks’s town center is known as Fair Oaks Village, where you will find the Plaza Park Amphitheater. It is fun to report that this area is known for its chickens. They inhabit two small parks in the old town area, and can often be seen begging for scraps or roosting on the playground equipment.
The first weekend in May enjoy the annual Fair Oaks Spring Fest in Old Fair Oaks Village, Plaza Park and Village Park. There is a Parade on Saturday morning, followed by games for the children, craft and food booths, and a frog jumping contest. The annual Sun Run takes place on Sunday morning.
On the 3rd Saturday in September you can join in the fun at the Annual Fair Oaks Chicken Festival in Old Fair Oaks Village.
The 1st Saturday in October join other dog lovers at the annual Fair Oaks Dog Walk.
From June to August, the Fair Oaks Theater Festival offers evenings of live family entertainment under the stars at the Plaza Park Amphitheater.
