In short, the answer is, “no.”
While it may seem odd to allow strangers in your house while you are not at home, home buyers may feel like they are intruding on you if you are home when they visit. They may not take the time they need to really consider your house and see all the great benefits of you home if they feel rushed because they are intruding.
Visit the local coffee house, yogurt shop, or take the kids to the local park. If you absolutely cannot leave, take a walk in the neighborhood or stay in one place out of the way. If you remain in the house, do not move from room to room. If you are at home and the selling agent or homebuyer asks you any questions you should answer them but do not volunteer any information. A well meaning comment could turn the potential buyer off.
